  Semantically (and stated in RFC-3986) they are separate resources.  For a
fun time, try the following two links:

	gemini://gemini.conman.org/test/doc1
	gemini://gemini.conman.org/test/doc1/

  Spoiler:  they aren't the same document.

  -spc (Also, consider CGI scripts, they don't *have* to have an extension,
	at least on GLV-1.12556 ... [1])
