Have a look at freedns.afraid.org, there are loads of subdomains you can use.  I've got a couple of short ones on there, like ec.gy and ml.gy :

https://freedns.afraid.org/subdomain/edit.php?edit_domain_id=1299103 (ec.gy)
https://freedns.afraid.org/subdomain/edit.php?edit_domain_id=1310128 (ml.gy)

Another option for a freebie domain is freenom.com.
