Capping CAPCOM, calling for more aggregators

One on hand, I think it's too bad that CAPCOM won't work so much as the
defacto homepage, but I understand that this was always a precarious
position as Gemini grows. I will be happy to see more aggregators pop up,
and I think linking to them on CAPCOM's page is 100% the right way to do
it.
On the other side of things, I encourage client authors to add aggregation
to their clients, as I've written about[1]. This is coming in Amfora[2] and
I'm very excited about it. I've been working on it recently.
One thing I'm wondering about this CAPCOM culling is whether favouring the
old gemlogs is a good idea. CAPCOM will become more and more "dated" as time
goes on. Would it be better if periodically CAPCOM updated to tracking the
newest gemlogs in Geminispace? So it would allow new people's capsules and
gemlogs to be discovered. I'm not sure how well this fits with the current
method of emailing you to be added to CAPCOM, but I think it's an interesting
idea.
