a space case for transparent gemtext compression

Hi Christian, yes, there's my compression - but it's not transparent: it
takes 4 user actions. So unless a client automatically opens and displays a
gzipped gemtext there is no way to have a near instantly readable and
extracted compressed index.gmi. Even if it did I am not sure if the back
button works at once, as now I also have to hit the back 4 times after
downloading and displaying a gzipped gemtext.
It's not that I want a different compression codec as the usual suspects
(zstd, gz, zip) all have similar ratios (40-50%), although i'd like the
most efficient text compression code with a high speed decompression. For
example ppmd with for example dictionary wrt preprocessing to get to ~25%.
Cheers,
Francis
